Soup for the Weekly Storm

Snow, ice, sleet, freezing rain, freezing drizzle, more snow, and cold. That’s Boston over the past two days. It’s getting to be a weekly routine.

And so we found ourselves, on this Groundhog Day’s night, watching Groundhog Day and eating soup.

Storm Soup

It’s a variation on our favorite Kale & Kielbasa soup.  Essentially, add more chicken stock, don’t bother peeling the potatoes, and add a chopped up head of cauliflower.  Puree everything, add the kale and kielbasa to the puree, and you’ve got a creamy (with no cream) soup, the perfect antidote for a very nasty ice storm.
